I was on a plane to go and get my girl! I cannot believe it. I am reflecting a lot on last year at this time. I have been looking at the pictures and videos, Ava was so little! Last year I was picking her up and she wasn't mobile at all, today she put on her own shoes...time flies. I actually had Ava placed in my arms on July 1st. On the 30th my dad and I landed in GC and headed to the Crowne Plaza. We ate and swam in the pool, the entire time it was all so surreal. I'm glad I filmed a lot of it because it was overload for me and I don't remember it all.
Tomorrow evening we're going out to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate "Gotcha Day". We were supposed to go to this Guatemalan restaurant which I waited to go to until this day and it closed!

Happy Gotcha Day!!! I've been thinking about you guys so much because this is such an awesome special time for us. What a wonderful, amazing year it has been. Ava is gorgeous and so perfect for you! We had dinner tonight at a Mexican restaurant owned by Guatemalans....go figure! Haha. At least we could have ice & drink the water....lol.
